Had they been at full strength, the Bucks would have ended day one with just three or four losses.
This team is really good.

Bucks leading Virginia Tech in team race 73-71 heading into semis. Virginia Tech has six wrestlers still alive with all in championship bracket Bucks have five in semis and Burcher in cons. Quite a battle taking shape for Vegas title.

I saw a video of Nato & Rodriquez drilling at Vegas. How much better has J Rod gotten after having a partner like Nate to go with in practice? I was hoping he would be a .500 wrestler, but he seems a lot better. Moore & Rodriquez both seem to have benefited greatly from a RS year.

Ryan is JDJ reincarnated.
He'll mostly beat the guys we think he should, but it will be closer than we think it should be.
He'll wrestle higher ranked guys close, most of the time, but lose.
And sometimes he'll get blown out and we'll all think something is wrong.
Rinse, wash, repeat.
And I'll be just as guilty as everyone.

JDJ beat the likes of Joe Colon, Cory Clark and Cody Brewer just to name a few of the many AA's/champs he defeated at least once. He won Vegas as I recall. And his win/loss record was outstanding. The best comparison for JDJ would be Colt Sponseller. They had very similar careers excepting the fact that Sponseller finally broke through at NCAA's his senior year.
My pet theory on Jake Ryan is that by opening up more on his feet, he's left himself more vulnerable. Last year, he was a poor man's Nick Heflin--shutting down opponents with defense and eking out close wins. This year he's getting to offense but that creates opportunities for his opponents as well. Just a theory...and probably not one that takes into account all possible factors.

Virginia Tech is missing Epperly at 174. Bucks are wrestling without Bo, Kyle and Ke-Shawn.

I fully expect Nate and Myles to be in the finals. JROD has been a pleasant surprise hopefully he can maintain the weight through the vigorous Big Ten and post season. However, I want to see Moore against stiff competition this afternoon against Pfarr. I wonder if he can get to his offense against the upper echelon athletes in the nation? It will be interesting.

I thinks it's great that Moore will face #1 & #2 in the coming week this early in the season. He will get a great barometer of where he is at and what he needs to work on.

Bucks will likely put four in finals although Nate has his hands full with the resurgent Grey. Burcher has good shot to finish top 5 as well.

That kid from Kent State Tutolo is tough as they come. He came back to beat Hall in Consi round 2. he was down 6-0 and Hall had over two minutes of riding time. Late in the third he hit a big throw and rode him out. Nice win.

Love Tutolo. Tough as they come. Hall was crushing him and I stopped watching. Thrilled that he came back to win.

Burcher does a nice job eking out the win. His opponent must have been tough on top because after a 2nd period ride out for Burcher, the Bucks coaches put him neutral for the 3rd period.
Burcher has officially placed. He has a solid shot to beat his next opponent.
