Any idea when a list of actual finalists will be leaked from an insider or from the administration itself?

Dang. I think he is sweeeeeeet! Very positive and relaxed, but recognizes the time to get down to business. I thought he would fit in nicely here.

I couldn't agree more. He probably heard that Mark Niemann had applied and figured he didn't have a chance, though.

"While at Northwestern, Herbert compiled a varsity record of 135-4 on his way to two NCAA championships at 184 pounds and becoming the second four-time All-American in school history."

thats right Rex, your era.
Mike Funk 2X state champ at Massillon Jackson in 85 & 86 at 175 & 185, he preceded you as a 2Xer, yours at 185 & 189 at Upper Arlington in 87 & 88. Funk was never champ but was 4X AA at Northwestern. Did you ever wrestle Funk in college, my memory is failing me, i'm guessing you did?
tough to be a 4X AA, statistically fewer 4X AAs than NCAA champs-- in other words gonna have 10 NCAA Div I champs every year, but much fewer 4X AAs. In fact, how tough is it? Ohio st has only had 2 four timers, Rowlands and Lance Palmer. s/BobP

I wrestled Mike in the East-West Classic at the Palestra at the University of Pennsylvania in 1991. I won a close match.
Mike is a classy guy, who is as academically gifted as he was athletic.
We both benefitted from older brothers who paved the road for us.

If I'm not mistaken, the divisions were only for football if I'm not mistaken. Though, looking at the breakdown, one division has Minnesota and Iowa in one division. Having the only two Big Ten Teams in the last 2 decades to win NCAA championships in one division doesn't balance anything out.

Should have gone East/West and called it a day. Hell, I'd have taken alphabetical!
When you start trying to suit needs, you wind up with a host of problems. What is good for one sport might not be good for another.
Whatever. Go Buckeyes!
