1st Annual Viking Take-Down Tournament
Location & Entries:
Princeton High School
Attention: Ty Robbins
11080 Chester Road
Cincinnati, Ohio 45246


WEIGH-INS: Saturday: October 25 7:00-8:30am (12 and under)
Saturday: October 25 9:00-11:00AM (13 and older)

Wrestling begins: 10:00 a.m. (or asap after) for Divisions I-IV
1:00 pm (or asap after) for Divisions V-VII

-Awards: T-Shirts awarded for each champion of their age/ weight class
-Certified Officials

AGES/WEIGHTS: (Age as of day of tournament - proof of age must be provided)
Div. I (6 and under)
Div. II (7-8 )
Div.III (9-10)
Div. IV (11-12)
Div. V (13-14)
Div. VI (15-18) Division VI participants MUST be enrolled in High School Grades 9 thru 12
Div. VII (18-99)

*Weight classes will be determined the day of the tourney. Every effort will be done to ensure 6 man brackets. However, the number of entries will dictate the number of matches per weight class.
*We have the right to combine classes if needed and approved by both parties involved.

Tournament Rules:
Wrestlers will be put in pools of 6 (Weight Classes will be determined at tournament)
Wrestlers will be guaranteed 5 matches (unless pool has less than 6)
Ages 15 and up will have one 5 minute period w/ running clock
Ages 11-14 will have one 4 minute period w/ running clock
Ages 10 and under will have one 3 minute period w/ running clock
Takedowns will be scored as follows:
Regular Takedown = 1 pt.
Takedown to back = 2 pts.
Hold opponent on back for 3 seconds on a 2 pt. Takedown = 1 pt.
First Stalling is a Caution each additional = 1 pt. for opponent
Tech fall will occur when a 10 point difference is scored
Sudden death if overtime occurs



Entry fee: $18 mail-in postmarked by 10/20/08.$20 at the door ( Wrestlers can wrestle 2 divisions for additional $10 ) Please make the checks out to Princeton Wrestling Boosters
Admissions: $ 3.00 Adults / $ 2.00 students / $ 5.00 family cap

In consideration of your acceptance of my entry, I agree to be legally bound for myself, my heirs and administrators, waive and release the Princeton City School District and members from any and all claims of damages for injuries suffered by me directly or indirectly from competing in the Viking Open Wrestling Tournament.
