Maybe I'm a bit late on this topic, but I just found out that Adam Cogar, who had verballed to UVA, switched to Kent. He's a great addition to this recruiting class. Kent has really ended up with a nice group especially Shuster, Cogar and Skonieczny.

That is a nice pickup... can he get to 197? He never seemed to project as a 285 to me, but I think he was 215 since his soph yr of HS right? 197 might be a tough cut.

Good question. He reminds me a lot of Matt Koz. Excellent shots, short and powerful.

This was announced a few months ago, I think.

Cogar placed sixth at state as a sophomore at 171 pounds and made a great transition between upper-middleweight to 215 adding power but maintaining a more mobile style. I was very impressed with him the past two years and I agree with Hank about the similarity between him and Koz.

Great pickup for the Golden Flashes.

Glad to see him stay in state. It always hurts when great Ohio guys leave the state. Great addition to Kent State!
