Chris Weber, a Wisconsin wrestler who projects to 197-285, has verballed to CSU according to InterMat. Perhaps some of the more knowledgeable site frequenters can talk about this young man. FWIW, Weber is listed as one of InterMat's top 100 Seniors.

"Chris Weber, a Wisconsin wrestler who projects to 197-285 -- -- -- --."
197/285 ?? one would have to be
quite knowledgeable indeed
to talk about Chris Weber, my records don't show him placing in the Wisc state tourn last season in any of the 3 team classes from 160 up.
could this be "the Chris Weber" of Fab Five fame at the U of Michigan switching from the NBA to amateur wrestling ?? or could this be another hoax perpetrated by ACORN ????

Thanks, Ethan. Solid credentials but nothing that moves the Earth. Then again, no one knew a lot about Jordan Keller when the Vikings were recruiting him. Seems as if CSU is using a strategy of trying to identify kids with a lot of upside and locking them up before everyone else comes calling. Could be that Anthony Coleman has a knack for recruiting.
For those who haven't bothered, I'd recommend watching the interviews with Keller, Stehura, etc... on the home page of this website. Interesting stuff.

checked last years fargo, Weber 2nd at cadet freestyle 215. Could be a reason DNP at state last season, hurt/sick, whatever ?
One thing about heavyweight, u got to use a different standard when evaluating a recruit.
The wt is so slim in talent once u factor out the guys who will play only football in college, theres very very little to choose from. So Weber might be a good catch-- apparently a good student, he lists his choice of major as engineering.
Hank, actually Keller was known--- AWN had him at # 4 at 119, and the # 1 senior in the wt. A coup for CSU. He had a brother ranked at 125, i don't think he is wrestling in college?
