His Mom & Dad were matside taping his matches; they must have posted the Buffalo videos. Real nice people. By the way, on several occasions I heard Cody coughing slightly before/after some of his matches. So I'm thinking he had a touch of something, and still won all his matches while not being 100% respiratory-wise. What a great addition to the team.

I've watched a bunch of video of him lately and am very impressed. Nothing flashy about Gardner. But he's a high IQ, high percentage wrestler. He maintains good position and uses it to capitalize on his opponent's mistakes. Gardner has some decent riding skills and gets to a good position on bottom so he can get out. He uses the mat well and has a knack for finishing shots on the edge. I think this guy could win as many as 25 matches for the Buckeyes, qualify for nationals and be a round of 12 caliber wrestler. He'll help a lot in duals as even his losses should be close. No one will drive 100 miles through a blizzard to watch him because his wrestling isn't flashy but he will win alot. He and Morrison will not blow away too many opponents this year in the upperweights but they'll both win consistently.

<sign_oh> <sign_io> I AGREE, he looks great in an OSU singlet and how fun he is to watch in his consistent quiet manner of winning. The 1st highlight video posted on YouTube, from the Buffalo Open, looked like a takedown clinic! A great addition to the team! I hope he is happy here in Ohio. <thumbsup>
