Correct me if I'm wrong but we've gone from having 4 guys in, to having 1?

I will correct you, since you asked. Humphrey and Sponseller are wrestling exhibition matches that evening. Therefore, we still have 3 wrestlers in action that night.

Is weight the issue with Mike P?
Just speculating.

Mike had a slight injury that has limited him somewhat in practice in the early going. He'll be fine, but the injury has probably slowed his early season conditioning somewhat. I understand that weight will not be a problem.

Pucillo made weight last Friday prior to the NCST open. He does have a minor but lingering ankle injury. Wrestling-wise he is still practicing with limitations so it isn't like he is sitting around eating Happy Meals and watching television. I know he is putting in a lot of time on the bike but a bad wheel doesn't allow a lot of roadwork to improve your conditioning.
Pucillo is not going to win a national title in November so it is important to keep him healthy. As he is out of the AS Classic you probably won;t see him this weekend and his first competition of the year is likely the Las Vegas Invitational.
Jaggers is still competing and there are no additional changes as of today.at 3:25. Humphrey and Sponseller are ready for their exhibition matches. Pucillo replacement is Louie Caputo (Harvard).

Kevin: any news on how Corey Morrison is doing?

No news on Morrison yet but my assumption is like Pucillo they play it safe. If he wrestles this weekend all is good and if he doesn't it isn't time to panic; Vegas is a big one but it isn't the end all. OSU needs Morrison on the mat in February and March more than they do in November and December.

According to how Pucillo said he likes to eat, he is probably eating the happy meals on the bike.

What I posted today on www.thematforums.com:
On February 2, 2003, Minnesota wrestled Ohio State at St. John Arena in Columbus and defeated the Buckeyes 20-15. At 157 Keaton Anderson defeated defending NCAA Champion Luke Becker 10-3. (That's the loudest I've ever heard a crowd cheer during a wrestling match at St. John Arena.)
The very next day Anderson wrestled Scott Owen in the All Star Classic in Newark, Delaware. At the end of that match, Owen was in the process of escaping from Anderson for an apparent win, and Anderson put him on his back. Keaton won 5-2, sv.
It meant a lot for Keaton Anderson to wrestle in the All Star Classic. I wish we would see that kind of attitude more often. It sure does a lot for the sport, too.

Doug, I told Russ Hellickson that was the most memorable match I ever saw at Ohio State. (Enright win over Simmons was a close second) You had to know the history between Keaton & Becker, along with the fact that a year earlier at the Big Tens Becker pummeled OSU's Jenson (sp?), really roughed him up, but that was Becker's style. And to see Keaton get that high crotch, lift Becker into the air and slam him to the mat (about as hard as one could without incurring a penalty) was great! A bit of his own medicine if you will. What a fantastic match, and yes, the crowd went wild. Total domination. If he doesn't blow the knee out at Big Tens, he's a National Champ IMO.

J.D. Bergman told us tonight on the Ohio Wrestling Radio Show (www.sportstalkcleveland.com, Tuesdays, 7-9 PM) that Pucillo has something of a high ankle sprain; the same injury that Bergman had at the outset of last season. It will be fine but just needs time.
And yes, I am aware of how shameless I am.
