Even more interesting was seeing that Mike Grey went 0-2. He also got beat up against Penn State. Something wrong there--he's too good to struggle like this.

I was a little surprised at Kilgore's lop-sided finals. I know the Boise St. kid was good, but Kilgore lost 6-3 to NCAA Champ Herbert the week before and cruised into the Body Bar finals. Of course there is always the unknown i.e. injuries, sickness we might not know about??? And I read that Smith & Kilgore met before, and it was a close match. The match is on Flo, so I,m going to check it out and see what happened.

Couple of big wins for the true frosh Owen (Boise) over NCAA qualifiers in Bedelyon (Kent) and Mytych (Drexel). Then in a slight surprise, Bedelyon lost to Moser (Bloomsburg) for third.
Hochstrasser (Boise) had a terrific true frosh season for Boise, then went on his two-year LDS mission, and is now back in force with good wins over Bell (Maryland) and then Mitcheff (Kent) in the final.
Lashaway did win at 141, but the story has to be Grey's non-performance. The returning AA struggling early up one weight from last year - key word as always, early. Casey Thome (Army) - Troy Christian alum - solid showing for Army with a fourth place.
True frosh Chamberlain (Boise) dominates a bunch of kids then beats returning AA Kyler (Army) for the title up at 149. Didn't know Clayton Stark was still hanging around for Kent, but he took fourth here.
Hall (Boise) beat Moley (Bloomsburg) in a battle of NCAA qualifiers at 157. Tice and Shuster both made it to the fifth place match.
Lewnes (Cornell) dominated 165, no surprise. Surprise would be Schmelyun (Bloomsburg) with good wins over Letters (Maryland) and Sherfey (Boise) to finish second.
Ancervage and Bosak - both of Cornell - make the final; Bosak with a win over Peltier (Maryland) in a battle of true frosh in the semis.
Kilgore (Kent) did have the win over Smith (Boise) at University Nationals, but Smith avenges that here - though it's a different platform. Smith did have a closer than expected semi against Kerber (Cornell) who took him to OT.
Chine (Kent) was the attached wrestler while Blackwell wasn't at 197. Chine lost 3-2 in the semis to Oplinger (Drexel), the eventual champ. Blackwell lost 9-8 to Simaz (Cornell). Backdraw, Blackwell and Chine hit each other in consi semi, Chine advanced, but then lost to Simaz for 3rd (4-1).
Barlow and Porter both finalists for Kent at 285.

Josh: Are you saying that kilgore won? According to the brackets, he lost 13-5.
