CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — Josh Falk and Andy Zalaiskalns were double winners as the University of Findlay wrestling team split a pair of non-conference matches at the University of Illinois Saturday.

The Roughnecks dropped a 32-6 decision to the Illini, the #7 ranked Division I team. They rebounded to knock off McKendree College, ranked #3 in the NAIA, 39-6.

Against Illinois, Falk picked up a 7-6 win over Ryan Prater in the 141-pound class. Zalaiskalns claimed a 4-0 win at 197 over Patrick Bond.

Falk also picked up a major decision win over McKendree's Jermaine Waye (11-3). Zalaiskalns won 3-2 over defending NAIA national champion, Andrew Sanchez, to finish the day 2-0.

The Roughnecks also sent a team to the Ohio Northern University Invitational.

Matt Clum led the way for Findlay by winning the 285-pound division with a 7-3 win over top-seeded Trey Moss of Limestone.

Josh Fox (197 pounds) and Ben Ball (184) added seventh- and eighth-place finishes, respectively.

This Findlay squad is much improved over the last few seasons. There's a lot of depth at some wts. 197 pounder, Zalanakis and middlewt Falk look like they could be contenders for national titles in D2.
