OURWAY REGIONAL DATES, LOCATIONS and other information.
Central/ South East Region will be held February 8, 2009 at The OSU French Field House.
North West Regional will be February 15, 2009 at Owens C.C.
North East Regional will be March 1, 2009 at Amherst Steele H.S.
South West Regional will be held March 1, 2009 at
You may wrestle in a different region only if you have a conflict with your league tournament or your Junior High League is not over. COBYWA League has the option to wrestle in the SW or Central/SE Regions due to it teams being spread over 2 regions.
To enter an OURWAY regional go to www.ourwaywrestling.com and download your Regional Form and Membership Insurance Form. (Non-OURWAY members must accompany their Regional Registration Form with an Membership Insurance Form.)
Insurance covers wrestler for OURWAY Regional’s, State, and NUWAY.
It was the decision of OURWAY to consolidate the SE Regional into the Columbus Regional when the SE region was unable to obtain a regional date due to too many area league conflicts dates. Therefore the Dayton/Cincinnati area will host a SW Regional in Dayton. A special Thanks goes out to Steve Shie and the Prodigy staff for making this possible and allowing OURWAY to use their facility.
OURWAY State Tournament will be held March 8, 2009 at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio as part of the Arnold Sports Festival.
NUWAY Nationals will be held Saturday, April 11, 2009 at Kellogg Arena Battle Creek, Michigan (Top placer from OURWAY qualify to compete against state placers from IN, IL, MI, IA, PA, MN, & OH) www.nuwaywrestling.homestead.com last year Ohio sent 161 wrestlers to NUWAY Nationals and placed 2nd over all!
Also new to this year we will be holding qualifiers for NUWAY Nationals for the 15-16 age group. The top placers of these tournaments will qualify for NUWAY Nationals and wrestle members from 6 other states. We are looking for 2 more qualifiers 1 in Toledo area and 1 in Dayton/Cincinnati area.
