I did a quick look at the final list of qualifiers based on hometown
125 PA 5 OH 0
133 PA 6 OH 2
141 PA 9 OH 3
149 PA 3 OH 2

184 PA 4 OH 6

at 25 Ohio 4 less quals than a year ago---- but still other than PA, Ohio about as many as any other state, about same as Calif and NJ if history holds true.
PA always # 1 by far in # of NCAA quals, its the best college state no doubt. Ohio could be closer
if Ohio U and CSU got going, and if others like Toledo, Miami, Akron, Cincinnati and Bowling Green hadnt dropped the sport. But PA is the best college state no doubt.
Ohio the last 2 years did have
the most college Div I AAs
both years though.
And based on high school rankings,
Ohio could have alot of NCAA high placers in 3 or 4 or 5 years: both Steibers, Taylor, Palmer, Clark, Phillips, Scales, Toal, Sam White, Kyle Lang, Tessari -- maybe Sako and Jerome Robinson? --- and i like Josh Demas and Habat and Heflin alot. Ty Mitch and Di Julius show promise.

I applaud PA for their commitment to wrestling at the collegiate level.
Certainly, it will be very tough for Ohio to beat PA in qualifier volume, simply because there is so much more opportunity in PA to wrestle D1.
PA Programs (that I can think of):
Bucknell
Pittsburgh
Clarion
Edinboro
Lehigh
Penn State
Duquesne
East Stroudburg
Millersville
Penn
I understand that this NQ, and AA count, notes wrestlers that compete for out of state teams, but the number of programs in PA make much more opportunity available to HS wrestlers who can go to the next level and blossom.
