Any discussion on him? Also, heard that Coach Ryan was in PA any word on who may be coming this way.

I remember in an interview on Flo right after Cael moved to PSU, Zeb asked him what he was thinking about college, and Jamie said "No comment. Ask me again in about a month."

Maybe it wasn't a month, but something like that. I've been eagerly waiting for Zeb to ask him ever since.

I hear he's down to Illinois and Ohio State, though I don't know how reliable that source is. If those are really his final two, Ohio State seems like a very easy choice (assuming they offer him a decent scholarship).

Well, they should have the money to spend on him. And since he seems to be a career 125/133 it would be money well spent!

I could be mistaken, but didn't Illinois just go through a coaching change? If so, coaching stability would seem to be an attractive aspect of OSU (among other reasons).

Indeed, Illinois did go through a coaching change. However, long time assistant coach/now head coach is Jim Heffernan, who is a St. Eds alum. Whether this will play a role in recruiting him is question mark to me as I don't recall a great deal of St. Eds talent migrating in mass to Illinois in the 17 years that Jim was an assistant. Time will tell.

A very easy choice? How so?

Rumor has it that Clark is growing and will be at 125 or 130 this year. If he or Stieber is a 133 and the other 125 it would be perfect.

Clark, Stieber & Paddock would be a nice 1-2-3 punch to start off the line-up in the coming years!

Will the younger Stieber (Hunter) play a part in any of this?

Yes. We want him to come in after two or three years and take off right where Clark left off, that being a three- or four-time AA with one or two national championships thrown in there for flair!!!

Sounds like a great plan! Will there be enough money for these wrestlers, plus the other weight classes?

Isn't Hunter only one year younger, well at least in terms of school years, than Clark?

It seems like Hunter is growing and will be bigger than Logan or Clark. How about this for the first four weights:

125: Logan Stieber
133: Jamie Clark
141: Ian Paddock
149: Collin Palmer

Because Ohio State would seem to be the much better training situation for him. He would have a phenomenal workout partner for his whole career in Stieber, and one of the most respected lightweight coaches in the country in Lou Rosselli. Through in other workout partners like Paddock and maybe Hunter Stieber, and that is quite a round of shark bait.

That's what I was referring to but there are obviously a lot more factors that contribute to picking a school.

I understand what you are saying about the wrestling aspect and certainly agree that there is a lot more that goes into this.
