Brush Open Mats & Turn and Pin Camp at University School.
Open Mats.
College wrestlers who were present at yesterday open mats include: Kyle Ciccarello - Brush alum wrestling at Ohio University; Antonio Nicholson - June Grad from Cleveland State, Solon alum and the new assistant coach at University School; Thomas Windom - CVCA alum wrestling at Kent State University; Jordan Ciccarello - Brush alum currently attending Ohio State University; Russell Hauser - Brush alum currently attending Ohio State University. Brian Hauser - Brush alum and an incoming frosh at Notre Dame College. Needless to say, the room is pretty competitive.
In addition we had wrestlers from Mayfield and University School practicing with us. Open mats begin at 6:30 p.m. on Mondays in the Brush wrestling room.
Weekend Turn and Pin Camp at University School. Antonio Nicholson along with former Cleveland State standout NCAA national qualifier David Armstrong, and NAIA national champion Victor Crenshaw will be running a "Turn and Pin" camp this Saturday and Sunday at University School from 10:30 to 2:30 p.m. both days. Registration is from 9:00 to 10:30 at University School on Saturday. The cost is only $15 for the entire weekend.
This is a great local opportunity to really improve our mat wrestling.
