I was there. Terrible luck for Jamie Clark who went for a Granby roll and reinjured the same shoulder he had surgery on a year ago. If it wasnt for bad luck he would have no luck at all. Let's hope the news is good so he can wrestle again this season to get the chance to be a three-time state champ and represent Team USA at the Dapper Dan. With Jamie in the lineup, Blair loses. This young Eds team will be one to reckon with in the next 2-3 years. I was really impressed with Eds' freshman 112-pounder who hit a sweet lateral drop on Evan Silver. Silver was saved by the clock. The freshman 152-pounder Abounader is another one who looks like he will make some noise in his career as he is always attacking. Freshman 103 Heil loves those Petersons and was fun to watch.

that 112 who almost beat # 1 Silver of Blair is Edwin Bright, nephew of Collinwood great wrestler Benny Bright-- many will recall thrilling matches between rivals Benny Bright and st Eds Bubba Strauss in the mid-80s, both superb athletes with exciting styles.

st Eds will be formidable next year and the year after, starting this season, at times, 7 and sometimes 8 sophs and 2 freshman.

Clark demoralizing injury in match one yesterday could have crushed such a young team on the road in hostile territory, but hats off st Eds-- fantastic job by their coaches to rally very young team, almost beat mighty Blair, at Blair too. s/BobP

I was particularly impressed with Bright in his major over Cassidy against Graham.
