UVa getting a good mix of Ohio guys. His projected weight is 184/197. Do you think he can make 184 in college?

Cogar is real short and compact so 184 isn't a stretch.

Wow, I thought for sure that Cogar was a shoe in for Kent State. I thought he would love the idea of practicing with Kilgore, Chine, and Barlow everyday. Well, Ohio is going to miss watching this kid, but best of luck at UV.

Steve Garland is doing a very good job recruiting Ohio wrestlers to Virginia. They had state champs Mike Grogan and Rocco Caponi, added Shawn Harris and Dan Gonsor from St. Edward last year, and now will add Jedd Moore and Cogar. Brian Brakeman said on his Cable 9 state finals broadcast that Jamie Clark already said he wants to wrestle at Virginia in college. That's excellent.

Garland did a great job of recruiting when he was with Cornell. Koll is an impressive coach, but Garland had as much to do with the kids they brought in to the Big Red.
He also did a great job at the state coaches clinic a few years back. He took the email address of anyone that wanted notes from the clinic and sent those out within days. He also was very open to questions that I had emailed him later about different training things and drills.
Great coach, great recruiter, great guy. (The university is not that bad either)
