OHIO ALL-STAR WRESTLING TEAM

Announces Plans for Mini Tour During Summer of 2011 & Team Training Camp

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

November 15, 2010....The Ohio All-Star Wrestling Team has announced that plans are currently being worked on for a mini wrestlng tour, during the Summer of 2011. Interested wrestlers need not be from Ohio, though Ohio wrestlers may receive priority in the selection process.

The tour is planned for sometime from mid June to mid July 2011 and will include a 5 day training camp, as well as a three week wrestling tour of dual meets/tournaments, mainly in the western part of the United States. The expected expense will be in the $1300-$1800 range and depends partly on whether the team will fly, or drive, out west. Money raised will cover all expenses (travel, hotel, car rental, entertainment and equipment) except for meals and souvenirs.

Interested wrestlers should currently be in the 5th-9th grades and weigh between 55-140 pounds (estimated summer weight). You can find an application at: http://ohiotofc.com/index1.php?intId=7
and they are due by November 30 (via mail or e-mail).

For those interested in just the camp, it should run somewhere between $150-$200 and you will also need to fill out and return an application. Wrestlers would be housed, but would be responsible for 2 meals a day. We should be able to accomodate 10-12 additional wrestlers that are interested in participating in the camp only. Campers need to currently be in the 2nd-10th grade and have a summer weight of 160 or less.

This will mark the 29th year for the Ohio All-Star Team and more than 600 of the top youth wrestlers in Ohio, and the East Coast, have particiapted on the team in the past. Among the more than 550 alumni are:
