Wrestling Takes On John Carroll To Open Dual Meet Slate
The Cleveland State wrestling squad will compete in its first dual meet of the season on Tuesday night (Nov. 23), wrestling at John Carroll at 7:00 p.m.
"This will be a good way to start the season," head coach Ben Stehura said. "We're going up against one of our traditional non-conference opponents, and our guys are excited for the start of the season. We've had a good week of training, and we're ready to get back on the mat and wrestle."
This will be the 42nd time that CSU has wrestled John Carroll, with the Vikings owning a 35-4-2 advantage in the overall series. Cleveland State has won the last 10 meetings between the schools.
CSU will be entering the meet rested, having been off from live competition since participating in the Michigan State Open on Nov. 13. Robbie Michaels led the Vikings with a first place finish in the 165 division, his second open championship in two weeks.
