Discussion Topic: Pennsylvania Heartbreak: Buckeyes Brutalized by Penn State

In my experience, Pennsylvania has always played a cruel hostess. Time and time again I've gone there, and it's now to the point that if I'm headed east I tilt my head back, close my eyes, let out a strained sigh and ask myself, "What will make me regret this trip this time?"

That was a nice read.

"I began to dig through my satchel for some spare wampum or gold"

That's the quote of the day. It's not every day that you can work satchel AND wampum into a sentance.

I heart satchels and plan to put one on my Christmas list. Here's hoping I can find one with wampum or gold inside!!!

Nice read.

Glad that Ryan moved Sponseller back up to 165 where he will have energy.

Nice to hear Ryan being honest and letting people know what's going on in the room with injuries. Like I said earlier the Buckeyes are the walking wounded.

Thanks.

Probably about as often as you get told that a Big 10 university only accepts cash.

I.think he was referring to the state in the feminine. Mush like we do our car or - sometimes - the US flag. Besides... Ever heard of a himmcane???

What makes you say that, Bob?

Chris,
i had what i thought was a reliable tip from a PA sportswriter-- a veteran connected guy who covers both football and wrestling over there-- he seemed sure.

but now it seems not true.

He told me, and i think, there was a intervention by his family with JoePa, as i was told, and that they tried to get him to retire since he is obviously slipping if youve seen his news conferences. And he did just win his 400th game so he's passed that milestone.

Joe was initially swayed but Joe changed his mind and apparently intends to stay. So my tip was wrong though well-founded at the time i got it. Tony Dungy is the guy the powers that be wanted i'm told to replace JoePa.
