Kilgore won this again, but closer this time around going 7-6. Kilgore later lost to another Ohioan, Rocco Caponi. Just think if our Ohio colleges could have kept this kind of talent around?

Effner of CSU beat two highly regarded freshmen: Chaires of UVA and Mack Lewnes of Cornell (I think).

Interesting one.... Nemec losing to Vallimont of PSU, same guy who beat Palmer last year.

Other than Vallimont, Nemec cruised by all the other guys. I guess you have to reach semis to get into the third-fourth place match, which Nemec never did.

Good to see Ohio well represented at this event. Livingston is wrestling tough, good a situation at 133 for OSU.

Nice showing for Effner, finishing ahead of Rella and Chairs, with a win over Mack Lewnes (who took two out of three from Rella their senior year).

That's the norm in many opens this year - it cuts out one round of wrestling towards the end of the day.
