I believe it was unlimited when Tim wrestled, I don't think he was close to 285, LOL But yes, he was a 2 time champ I believe.

Had my broken and dislocated ankle fixed at the same hospital in the fall of 1982. I was making a tackle during a rugby game, some guys ran into me and the guy I was tackling and my ankle caved in. Fortunately, my heart never stopped beating.

I remember Tim Moxley in 1985 State Tourney.
He would tower over every wrestler. His 6-8" stature must be very terrifying.
However, in the state finals, one wrestler actually head-butted his chin and nearly sent Tim to the knees. The referee had to stop the bout to get Tim's spinning eyes stabilized.
It took a while but Tim was able to come back and wrestle to win by a decision. I am pretty sure that was a scary moment for his family.
His older brother, Don, won the Big Ten title at the same day, I think. By the way, Kirk Trost, Don's Big Ten finals opponent, finished second in NCAAs two weeks later while Don was done in "One loss and you're out" old format.

Don Moxley was my excercise science teacher in College, and my High School Coach Andy Disabato was his coach in College. Mox never told us that story.
