With all the bad news about D1 programs, it nice to hear about Sacred Heart getting a big boost.

And they're bringing in 25 recruits. Did Coach Lausier just get a fire lit under his butt or were they in danger of losing the program? I know that bringing on a full-time assistant (especially a good one) is an issue of funding, but I'm always curious to know what goes on behind the scenes.

This was Lausier's first year on the job at Sacred Heart. I would assume he came on board as the money was starting to come together. If not, more power to him for taking over a program many had left for dead, and resurrecting it.

There are only so many D1 programs out there. Glad to see SH taking steps to improve the program.
