Gentlemen...a basic cross face is legal. Here is whats not legal.
1. A cross face that is thrown from "left field" that is nothing more than a punch to the side of the face.
2. Using the fist to "grind" the face/mouth.
3. Pressure can be applied (yes even strong pressure) to the side of the face...hence the term "cross face", but pressure directed to the "triangle" of the face is not allowed. The triangle is if you draw a line starting at the right side of the right eyebrow...across to the left, down to a point directly under the mouth and back up to the outside of the other eyebrow. That is the triangle of the face that is off limits to direct frontal pressure...such as eye jabs...pop to the nose etc. As you can see...a true cross face does not infiltrate the triangle....straight on.

The runner-up at the NHSCA Jr's division is good indication of Moore's future collegiate prospects.
