174: Howe (OU) v. Perry (OkSt)
Perry dominated in the top position. I thought he was backing away early. Should have been hit possibly twice by the time the third period rolled around. I'm very impressed with that win.
184: Ruth (PSU) v. Sheptock (Maryland)
I thought, as the match was unfolding, Ruth was going to get the major. It didn't happen, but the match was never in doubt. 3x Champ; that's impressive.
197: Heflin (tOSU) v. Cox (MIZZ)
One second. Bah!!!!!!!! Son of a buh. Turns out it was half a second. One the one hand, live by the sword, die by the sword. Heflin's strategy of limited offense cost him here. One the other hand, that friggin sucks. A HALF A SECOND!!!!!!! Buh. Not sure how to deal with this.
285: Nelson (MINN) v. Gwiazdowski (NCSt)
Gwizz has exceptional movement for a 285. He was able to offset Nelson's size advantage with constant movement and getting angles. That was a very nice win. And it tightens the team race as we round the corner.
125: Garrett (Cornell) v. Delgado (ILL)
Madness!!!!! Crazy amounts of scrambles! And, oddly enough, a couple stalling calls! Bottom line: the change-over from 285 to 125 was eye-opening!!!
133: Graff (WISC) v. Ramos (Iowa)
I thought Graff had it figured out. The crazy thing to me is Coach Davis telling Kessinich that Graff can't roll around; that's when he gets in trouble. Well, well, well... Congrats, Ramos.
141: Stieber (tOSU) v. Carter (VT)
Many #DotNet-ers have stated it on here; Logan's finals match was last night. He won that, won this finals match, and won his third national title in as many years. As Tommy Rowlands stated after his semifinal win over Crum (Oklahoma)... "ONE MORE!!!"
149: Kindig (OkSt) v. Tsirtsis (NW)
Unreal. What a stud; such composure for an RS freshman. His ability to fight for every point is what made (and makes) the difference.
157: Dieringer (OkSt) v. Ness (MINN)
Again, you live by the sword, you die by the sword. Kindig cut off the opportunities for anything big from Ness and it showed through with a major decision. Ness was able to work in some flair with a cartwheel to a scramble, but that was the extent.
165: Taylor (PSU) v. Caldwell (OkSt)
Seriously, D.T.'s so silky smooth and good. Mad props!

6:50 before the first scoring attempt. Not a good game plan.

I've got a bad feeling JDen's going to keep doing it. Snyder's been wrestling at 211 lbs and above for three years now. It's going to be a bear cutting down to 197 and I'm worried he's not going to be the same wrestler.

I'm just concerned that he is a year of experience behind Cox in D1 college wrestling. They are so closely matched that it may be the edge for Cox. Cox and Snyder are going to have some wars over the next 3 years.
I hope I'm wrong. I hope Kyle Snyder blows him out of the water. I'm not sure anyone can do that to Cox. Cox beat Snyder 1-0, 1-0. So we know he at least had the ability to neutralize Snyder's offense. What we don't know is, how much Snyder has improved over the last year (at least not with an apples to apples comparison to Cox).

Every man sees things his own way, of course, and is entitled to his own opinion. But fwiw, I don't agree with yours. Cox was the aggressor, yes, but this was not Heflin's first scoring attempt. His first to which he was committed to this extent, yes, but on an earlier occasion or two he'd tried to lock it up as well. I thought the first stall call was justified/fine. I thought the second was horseshit, made by a weak ref who caved to the crowd. The match should have gone to sudden victory.

3 years ago I bet a buddy that PSU would win every NCAA tournament that D.T. and Ruth both wrestled. They are just too big of point scorers to beat (considering supporting cast).
