All pretty optimistic, IMO.

I'd rather get a few tournaments and duals under their belts before I crown these incoming RSs as instant contenders.

Guilty as charged! However, The Mighty Kim Stone might give me a run for my money.

I was just looking at themat.com forum section and was surprised to stumble on the following thread!

Re: Ohio State Buckeyes 2015 National Champ Favorites?

The following is one of the loggers opinions on summing up next season's competition vs. OSU for NCAA champion.

Iowa loses St. John, Ramos and Lofthouse.
OkSU loses Caldwell, Morrison, Perry and Rosholt.
PSU loses Taylor and Ruth.
MINN loses Nelson, Steinhaus, Thorn and Zilverberg
tOSU loses Paddock, and Heflin but reloads much better than their losses.

To sum up his last statement, we get Nate T. at 125, Hunter @ 149, Demas or Micah @ 155, BoJo @ 165, and Kyle Snyder @ 197.

They all have talent waiting in the wings. Actually, keep your eyes on Cornell with Garret, Grey, Realbuto, Palacio and Dean plus whatever other studs they plug in.

Yep.

Would love to see analysis similar to Jason's on page 1 for all of the contenders.

How many returning AAs for each of the top teams?

More than Ohio State's 2 (counting Hunter as a returning AA)?

Using InterMat's last rankings before the National Tournament minus Seniors, assuming none move up, where TOSU wrestler should rank next year at a minimum. Will vary some with new wrestlers moving into weight class and some wrestlers moving out.

125 Garret Delgado Megaludis Tomasello
133 Schopp Beckman Richards Di Julius
141 Port L Stieber
149 Houdashelt Tsirtsis Dardanes Sueflohn H.Stieber
157 Dieringer Green Miller I Jordan Ness M Jordan
165 Sulzer Moore Caldwell B Jordan
174 Kokesh Evans Brown Storley
184 Dean Thomusseit Thomas Abounader Courts
197 Gadson Cox MC Intosh Schiller Snyder
285 Gwiazdowski Telford Mc Mullan Coon

125 4th 14 pts
133 4th thru 8th 14/8 pts
141 1st 22 pts
149 1st 22pts
157 5th thru 8th 12/8 pts
165 1st 22 pts
174 round of 16 5 pts
184 4th thru 8th 14/8 pts
197 2nd 18 pts
285 round of 16 5 pts

148/132 pts 8 AA's (no way)
subtract 25% for injuries etc and poor handicaping
111/99 6 AA's

I have seen on other sites that suggest Megaludis will be RS next year. 165 Caldwell is a SR.

The following is the last few paragraphs from the article in the Lantern about Logan. These are quotes directly from Logan Stieber and Tom Ryan.

“The thing that I haven’t gotten, and we haven’t gotten yet, is a team national title, so that’s the thing that is going to push me,” Stieber said. “For the team to do the best, that means I have to do my best.”

Ryan agreed with his star wrestler and said the sky is the limit for not just Stieber, but for the entire Buckeye team next season.

“109 points won (the team national championship) this year,” Ryan said. “We have the potential to score 145-150 points. And that is real.”

I am a bit surprised to see Tom say that 140 points is realistic. - I believe it my optimistic Buckeye fanatical way, but I am shocked to see it coming from Tom.

GO BUCKS!
