D.Schlatter just destroyed Adam Hall 11-0. It is easy to forget just what an incredible wrestler DS was/is when he's healthy.

He was on fire in that match. I don't think I've seen a healthy DS like that since maybe his freshman year of college.

Yep -- by his own admission as well. Moza Fay looks much bigger.

Well that sucks. One lace and match blows open. Wish he'd open up all match like he did at the end.

I'll never root for Schlatter again. Lose, quit and go home. Not a fan.

I generally don't like the practice either, but when your body's been broken as much as his has, why risk re-injuring it in the wrestle-backs? Defaulting out may enable him to wrestle again in the future.

It's not like he's competing next month, or even 6 months from now. If you ever see him on mat again, I'd bet it's not till US Open, but I'd guess it be at the same event next year.

I so enjoy watching he wrestle -- when he's getting after it. But just can't cheer for him anymore when he quits and goes home after a loss. Won't cheer against him, just not for him like in past.

I agree but still stand by my statement.

After winning his first 2 matches by tech fall, Reece loses to Coleman Scott in the challenge tournament final by a score of 6-5. Coleman will take on Jimmie Kennedy for a spot on the world team.

Dustin Schlatter doesn't owe anybody anything. He competed to win the spot and when he lost there was nothing more for him to accomplish. Be grateful that we once again had the pleasure to watch him compete instead of complaining that it wasn't enough. Despite what Gordon Gekko says "greed is NOT good".

Did you enjoy it when the great one, Randy Lewis, came back to compete at 50, just to compete? Ironically, Lewis won 2 matches and then lost to the same Fay and bowed out.

Sit back,appreciate and enjoy.

Never said I didn't enjoy watching him wrestle, what I DID say I can't stand it when guys do this and I can't/won't cheer for him, or anybody, does this.

About Randy Lewis, I give senior citizens (to compete vs active wrestlers at 50, a pass.

Brady: if DS never wrestles again, do we retro-actively give him a pass? I say yes, but whatevs.

At 28 yrs old, hard to give pass. If he'd taken off his shoes and retired, I'd be more inclined. If he has retired, nobody will cheer for him again anyway. I am glad to see fewer and fewer guys doing the lose and quit thing.

Let's just go back to single elimination tournaments and make everybody happy.
