Am I reading that right, that you have Kindig as a favorite over Tsirtsis?

Also, I love that Stieber and Port are wrestling. Logan Stieber continues to do everything right during his career at tOSU. From learning from his first match with Oliver and pulling the upset for his first title, to the way he dealt with Ramos and all his intimidation antics, to his choice to move up and take on Maple at last year's All Star, to way he handled the loss to Rutherford and again learned and adjusted his strategy for following bouts, to his decision to wrestle Port at this year's All Star...he has operated with class at every turn. The kid has truly been amazing during his time Ohio State. I honestly think the rest of the country undervalues him, both his skills and his contribution to the sport.

Michael: I don't; my bookie does. ;-)

In retrospect, perhaps "PICK" would have been the proper mode for that match.

I will say this, every year I watch the district tournament at Darby, I notice two things: #1) there is a mat that seems to attract funny/strange/ironic/hinky scenarios. #2) a wrestler who rides a hot steak in an amazing way, and wrestles out of his skin and does something that NO ONE in the gym thought he could do.

Concerning point #2, I thought Tsirtsis (NW) could have been that guy last year, but at the NCAA level, of course. (One could make a STRONG case for English (PSU). Same weight class too!) I was VERY impressed with his (Tsirtsis) run last year. The quarterfinal win over Maple (Oklahoma); semifinal win over Houdashelt (MIZZ); and, obviously, his finals win over this year's All-Star Meet opponent Kindig (Oklahoma State). The last two I know we're won in extra frames. Heck! His win over Maple may have been as well! That would be THREE matches won outside of the seven minute window.

Either he TRULY is THAT good/special, or I undervalue him by calling his run last year magical, and something I think he will have a tough time repeating.

I've been wrong before so watching him win three more would not upset me. (Maybe it would a little THIS year given that I put $1000* on Hunter winning it all.)

Good match between Dance and Waters. Loved the late 2 call for Waters. Always hate when some guy is flat on his back holding a leg with no two awarded.

Miller looked great until the 3rd; I thought he had the edge. I understand taking bottom is the correct decision when it's tied, but it really isn't Ian's strength. Hindsight is 20/20, but on his feet is where he excels.
