The following is the result of last night's wrestle-offs at Ohio State.

125: Tomassello won by tech fall over Manuche 20-4
141: Stieber pinned Marandino 1:58
157: Languis won by decision over M. Jordan 3-2
165: B. Jordan pinned Kresevic 1:46
184: Courts won by major decision over Fox 11-3
197: Snyder won by major decision over O’Hara 19-5
285: Tavanello won by decision over Gordon 5-2
149: Ryan won by decision over Burcher 11-4
174: Martin won by major decision over Prezzia 12-4

The two most interesting results to me, is that Randy Languis beat Micah Jordan at 157 (3-2), and Jake Ryan beat Cody Burcher at 149 (11-4).

Question: Are we over-estimating Micah a bit, or have we seen enormous growth in Randy Languis' confidence and skill set since the end of the season?

Logan and Bo both had pins. - That could be a common theme for dual matches this year!

I don't know the overall format for the wrestle-offs, but a lot of good wrestlers didn't wrestle here, such as Haines, JDJ, Hunter, Joe G., Demas, and several of the good young recruits from last year. - Is there another round of wrestle-offs coming up?

Said this on another thread but I'll repeat: Remember when Cyler Sanderson ripped David Taylor to shreds in a intra squad? Languis is a tough, experienced 5th yr senior who could end up pushing Demas harder than anyone expects.

Where are Seth Williams, Ryan Harris and JP Newton? How about the Riley-Hawkins brothers? Kyle Visconti?

I know there were preliminary wrestle-offs on Wednesday. I know Cody Burcher pinned one of the Riley-Hawkins brothers in about 45 seconds.

I assume the rest either wrestled off and lost on Wednesday or were dinged up as well.
