Snyder was superb against a tough Wellington.

Here comes Micah on Mat 2.

Great day for the buckeyes. I wrestled 5 matches at Michigan State a few years ago and it is a freakin grind! All three freshman looked great, very promising for the rest of the season. Mark Martin had some good wins as well, would have liked to see him vs. Walters.

Congrats to Austin Reese for winning the Fr./So. 165 weight class. Won 3-0 in finals over a kid from that school up north.

I want to give a shout out to Cody Burcher for taking 6th today in his first collegiate tournament. He's up 20 pounds from last year, wrestling at 157. Picked up 3 pins too! Love that #ClaymontCradle.

Very impressed with Bo's 3rd period ride out of Massa, and Snyder's grit. He fell behind vs Mich & OU, but never panicked. Got stronger as the match progressed. And Nate was relentless. 4 champs and a runner up and we were without Logan, Hunter & Courts. Good start to the year.

It's in there Hank, it's right above Tomasello's Summary.

I copied this from an attachment on the OSU Wrestling Site.

What has me a little concerned is Johnni, Hunter & Kenny, and possibly Mark all injured. I don't know who they have as backup at those weights?

TOSU would have very few options at these weights. Micah could probably get down to 149. I'm not sure why Johni, Hunter and Kenny did not wrestle. Are we sure it was injury?

It was reported on another website that Haines is allegedly/possibly out for the year with an injury?

For JDJ I believe his father confirmed he was out because he was a little banged up on this site.

Just a comment: I was impressed with all the OSU first place winners, for different reasons, but that 165 final really stuck out for me. Last year Massa used his favorite move, the front headlock, to pick apart Mark Martin. When he tried it on Bo he couldn't get it to work, mainly because Bo is so strong. What I loved, though, was Bo riding him that entire third period, which to me says if no one gets a TD in the match, I'm still gonna beat you with riding time. And it was great when Bo got the power half in and really cranked on it, a position I'm sure Massa rarely finds himself in.

As I watched Bo wrestle Massa, I found myself thinking that Massa couldn't win. It's not that he's isn't a terrific wrestler but Bo has been so well prepared for his collegiate career that it's difficult to imagine any single scenario for which he hasn't been prepared. As I've mentioned before, Bo reminds me of a more physical Dustin...a wrestler with a very high IQ for situations and techniques. The fact Jeff Jordan allowed his sons to attend Ohio State means a lot. He would not have let his kids wrestle for any coach in whom he didn't have full confidence....or so I think.
