I wonder if Dake would have won 4x had he wrestled in the B1G. I'm not discounting his tremendous abilities but as a Freshman he would have faced Reece multiple times (he split w/ him during the regular season) and Marion. Sophomore year he would have faced Molinaro multiple times which would have given him opportunities to learn from his mistakes. Junior year he would have had to beat a good Deric St. John. Based on the way the finals match went, that match would have been even closer had they faced each other multiple times earlier. I don't know if his senior year would have gone any differently. Where he MIGHT have been tripped up is in his early college wrestling career.
Just goes to show that sometimes its about TIME and PLACE.
