Discussion Topic: An Annual Dot.Net Fellowship?
Justin Hayes added to this discussion on December 29, 2014

I've gathered through the forum that there have been intermittent gatherings of various and sundry members the dot.net nation ("tribe" would probably be more apropos, but, as Niemann says, "whtvs").

Simply put, I like it here because it is genuine, with real names, credibility, common bonds, and rules of engagement that lend themselves to intelligent disagreement...that is actually profitable.

So what are your thoughts on trying to organize a fellowship related opportunity toward the end of each high school wrestling season for whoever could make it?

I'm just throwing this out there because if I knew in advance each year, "Hey, I have to make sure I'm @ (restaurant) @ 1:00 P.M. Saturday of the State Finals so I can see my dot.net brethern this year..." then I'd be able to plan accordingly and make it happen.

Niemann...Go!

I envision1st Annual Dot.Net Fellowship shirts.

Then 2nd Annual Dot.Net Fellowship shirts with the names of the participants who attended the 1st Annual Dot.Net Fellowship on the back for the next year...

Group photo...

A "Pick The Champion" competition for the State Finals, with the winner getting a special dot.net "Pick The Champion 2015 Winner" thuggy fresh winter toboggan and Mr. Brisket gift card...

It builds momentum and the dot.net membership swells...

We pick up some advertising $ for the site and create an annual scholarship for a wrestler/wrestling family that could use some assistance...

You see how I'm rolling... ; )

Not trying to hijack any sort of Taco Palace action in March, but who is going to the tOSU v Iowa dual on Sunday?

I could be persuaded to drink a beer or two before the dual.

I don't know what monkeyshine is, and if it's anything like moonshine, I've never partaken of such elements.

But is true. As true as the fact that Fred Feeney is in the movie "Foxcatcher". You did know that, right? ;-)

How does having season tickets keep you from joining some fellow .netters beforehand?

Not to rub it in but there was a slight get together tonight with myself, Bob Preusse, Shawn Andrews, Josh Lowe, Jim Behrens, Fred Feeney, Charles Costilow and Brian "VIVA!!! Lord Brakeman!

As The Man stated, "All we are missing is BoroFan and we can begin this meeting."

Amen, J!

What the heck, Niemann?!?

I don't believe you. I think you are witch.

I believe you weigh as much as a duck. And are made of wood. Both of which float...as do witches.
