In the process of losing an eminently winnable dual to ASU. Coach Andrassy spoke highly of this team prior to start of season but they have been fragile from the start. Yes, losing Miller stinks--and we all hope he'll come back strong. But I've never seen a Kent squad under Andrassy struggle so hard to be competitive.

Kent has been a bit dinged up this year. I think if everyone gets healthy the results will improve. Also, losing Wheeler is a big subtraction.

Kent - OU tomorrow. Will be an interesting dual.
Per Zeb, Kent is without Marsh.
I believe OU is without Powell and Forrider.

Nice to see Kent rebound though I'm conflicted since its at OU's expense.
Claxton and Miller are both terrific. I hope both have great finishes to the season.

Interesting dual, and congrats to Kent. Both team had backups wrestling, OU at 25-41. Although Shump with a shocking win over Small.
Not sure where Squire was, but not having him hurt. That weight does not impact the dual outcome, though.
Aside from 141 the result that surprised me was 65, great win for Kent there.
I thought the dual would be 5-5 or 6-4 (either way) in matches. Bonus points and winning a couple close ones sealed it for Kent. Congrats to the Flashes.

Edinboro 27 Kent State 12
125: Kory Mines (EU) won by decision over Del Vinas (KSU), 2-1
133: Mack McGuire (KSU) won by major decision over Anthony Rivera (EU), 12-3
141: Mitchell Port (EU) won by fall over Tyler Small (KSU), 2:56
149: Dave Habat (EU) won by decision over Mike DePalma (KSU), 4-3
157: Ian Miller (KSU) won by tech fall over Kasey Davis (EU), 17-2
165: Tyler Buckwalter (KSU) won decision over Casey Fuller (EU), 3-2
174: Patrick Jennings (EU) won by decision over Mike Vollant (KSU), 4-3
184: NicK Mitchell (EU) won by decision over Jerald Spohn (KSU) 14-10
197: Vic Avery (EU) won by decision over Cole Baxter (KSU), 8-1
285: Warren Bosch (EU) won by fall over Mimmo Lytle (KSU), 0:45
Buckwalter wins again. He's having a very good year and exemplifies how KSU gets a lot from a solid, but not spectacular, high schooler. His best finish was seventh in the 152-pound bracket at Pennsylvania state tournament as a senior.

Interesting. If the dual started at 125, I'd assume Kent felt pretty good about their chances with Baxter and Lytle coming up and the score 18-12. Baxter looked tough earlier in the season and Lytle seemed to be improving.
Good to see Ian "killer" Miller is back and on task.
