" I know that defeat is always possible, but with great returning talent, and a SUPERB MOTIVATING HEAD COACH, the future looks very bright!"

Pat, yes future looks very bright, hope it comes true, last team to go back-to-back Bama but before that Nebraska mid-90s.
do u recall "Super Sophs 1968"? supposed to win TWO more but lost to Michigan up there in 69, Schembecher's first year started the "10 year war" with Woody. And 1970 team lost to Stanford in Rose Bowl. That team had FIVE First round NFL draft choices PLUS other stars like All-American QB Rex Kern and Jim Stillwagon the Outland trophy winner.
btw, we go to Michigan next season too, Harbaugh's first, any coincidence??? thats why i always try to stay grounded on this rah-rah stuff, 1969 & 1970 taught me that the best team doesnt always win.

Bob, there was another set of super sophs that won it all in 1960 and then lost in the finals the next two years- to another team from Ohio.
Still pains me. Big Luke was my hero.

"What level of effect does this (winning a football national title) have wrestling recruiting? 0% 10%, 25%???"

I think wrestling recruits have been taken to football games (correct me if wrong). Every little bit helps, I'd guess.
