Discussion Topic: Marrying Wrestling and MMA: Good or Bad Idea?

I was thinking about the atrocious Cliff Keen commercials and wondered:
1) For the sake of promoting more participation/exposure for amateur wrestling, has anyone ever created/edited a top notch montage of former college wrestlers in action who went on to the UFC (also in action)?

I'm not an avid fan of MMA/UFC, but my interest is primarily in former college wrestlers I watched in the NCAAs who are now Mixed Martial Artists.
I would think a slick production showing a highlight takedown in college and a noteworthy MMA exchange in the octagon for each former wrestler would be useful.
(I'd think the Navy SEALS could do the same type of thing; it seems a number of wrestlers went on to join the Teams.)
2) Is it a good idea or bad idea for amateur wrestling to attempt to nurse shark off the popularity of MMA?
3) I would think from a business standpoint, Dana White/The Fertitta brothers would be utilizing their vast resources to fully build and exploit a wrestling pipeline into the UFC via amateur wrestling; is this being done?
