Good stuff. I liked how the article didn't sugar coat it. Is Heflin moving on with his life? Absolutely. Has the sting of coming so close to, and then losing everything he has worked for worn off? Nope.

I think most of us can empathize with Nick (at whatever level we were at that).
Hurt from a big loss never really goes away, but time and other pursuits do lessen it a great deal. Coaching first state champ was like lifting a 1,000 lb. gorilla off my back.

Very good article. I won't pretend to understand how much it hurts to lose in the finals but it's good to see he got his degree and is focused on moving forward. I feel fortunate to have had the chance to see him accomplish many great things in wrestling.
