The National title is huge, but tOSU breaking 100 team points feels equally as good from my objectively driven mind.

Funny thing is, I see so many opportunities where we didn't get it done. The potential was still far greater than we even saw.

Yep.

Who would have thought OSU would have a chance with JDJ/Hunter/Demas/Martin/Tav combining for a total of FIVE points between them?

Crazy, when you think about it.

I did think about that. And as far as point totals go, well, 5 points is what they directly contributed.

But I would venture to say all five gave something that the final tallies could not measure. (I'm not trying to redefine success, but I am sold on the delicate balance of wrestling when it comes to individual/team success. Ex.: Hunter's actions. But there's no way of stating objectively that his efforts helped NaTo or Kenny "The All-American" Courts. Analogous to watching JDJ - although out of the tournament - drill with NaTo. That type of contribution is not reflected on JDJ's final point total. Whatevs.)

There's definitely something to be said for the way Hunter energized the team with his effort. And in hindsight, JDJ losing to brewer appears not to have been an upset at all. Tav never returned to form after the injury...I'd wager he was more injured than not come post-season. Even with all of those seemingly negative variables occurring at the same time is there a soul alive that would've bet they would pull it off under those circumstances? The proverbial mountain ended up being MUCH bigger than anticipated and they didn't succumb. Simply amazing!
