great comments by bruce.

i have always thought that wrestling gives you an unshakable confidence. when you have succeeded in wrestling, i think you build an internal belief system that allows for you to think "i can do anything" in a non-cocky way.

additionally, if you have competed enough in wrestling, you have experienced gut wrenching failure. I think this instills a permanent humility. The notion that "there is always somebody out there that is capable of taking you out" is a reality in your mind.
