Nick Roberts, former Buckeye wrestler, transferred to the University of Pittsburgh at the end of last season and was supposed to be eligible to wrestle for Pitt in the second semester of this year. I just looked at the Pitt wrestling webpage and he is not listed on the roster nor has he wrestled any matches this semester.
Anyone have any further information on his status?

Also, what happened to teammate Edgar Bright? Early in the season I saw him ranked as high as #7 at 141 lbs. I haven't heard anything since.

I believe Edgar is taking a medical redshirt.

Bruce: Saw something once about Roberts having academic issues. Can't say I know for a fact. It was info posted on another forum by someone who seemed to have knowledge of the Pitt program.

I hope he gets back on the mat. While at this moment, he is not a AA threat, he is a round of 12 level guy. He is certainly one of the better 125s in the country. Sometimes we forget that only 8 guys can AA, there are a whole lot of other great wrestlers in each weight class that we can't dismiss just because they are not top 8. Nick was one of those kids I really appreciated.
