I think OSU's decision to drop wrestling is smart. They've climbed the mountain, and Logan will be gone, so why accept a course that's only downhill?
Ah yes, April is the cruelest month.

Only on this forum do we get a TS Eliot quote. Well done, Shel.

I was actually pretty good at tiddlywinks.

I was better defensively than offensively. My squopping skills were unmatched in the tri-state area. And that's when I ran into the regional champion Doug Michaels. His use of a composite squidger instead of a pure plastic one made my squopping non-existent.

As an aside, in the late 1960s, my grandfather was recruited by the North American Tiddlywinks Association (NATwA) while attending Waterloo Lutheran. He was REAL good. He used to tell us stories of taking on some English players who came across the pond while he was in college. He never told us how it went, but I assume they lost because he would always mumble under his breath "Prince Charles is a cheater..." It was a short-lived career but eventful, he'd say.

Doug: riveting! Reminds me of the 1195 regionals held in southern Virginia. Of course, on the national scene, hotel ballrooms get rented. This was obviously a level of a friendly.
