"We'll see the benefits of this move right away, as we have a tremendous recruiting class coming this fall. We've had the top recruiting class in all levels of College Wrestling the last few years, and this year we expect the same."
alot of "recruiting" emphasis Hank, do u think its an important area and can others learn from this ??

Ethan,
i think he means in Div 2, theyve done better-- and yes Dan Fickel whose an expert told me this summer that other than the very top Div I schools, Notre Dame will have the best incoming class in nation.
coach Romano talked to me about it at the Milkovich get-together in July, its pretty awesome, hes got 3 and 4 timers coming in from other states like Georgia and Missouri. Fickel verified these guys are studs.

Got it - thanks. Sounds like it's saying they have the best class regardless of NCAA division, which I found interesting.

I think the "all levels" comment is pretty clear. Accurate or not, NDC does an amazing job of bringing in studs. They do a great job of identifying kids who are either overlooked or have other issues that might prevent them from going to D1 schools (typically academic issues). I have no idea where all the money comes from but no program does a better job of sniffing out their prospects. I think this program has won national titles at some level in at least half their years of existence. That's amazing.

NDC coaches have the exceptional ability to mentor, develop, and coach up high school wrestlers to All Americans regardless of the particular wrestler' s high school stats. Congrats Coach Ralph!
