Normally I would think this cut silly. However, Ryan isn't going to jeopardize the health of his wrestlers and, more importantly, neither is Micah's father.
We have some significant experience overseeing this.

of interest Cody Brewer NCAA champ Okla moving up to wr Dean Heil, NCAA 4th, st Eds, in All Star classic at 141. Right now 141 pretty open, Heil and Evan Henderson of NC St back after RS might be the favorites. If Brewer stays at 141 the scenario changes.
should be great match, Heil as good an athlete w/big moves & scrambles as st Eds ever had, imo. Brewer put up alot of points in winning NCAA 133. i also recall in Cleveland at US Open (or Jr Open) when high schooler Brewer beat Logan Stieber.

just in from my oklahoma guy:
OU coach Cody showed up at our wrestling lunch the other day. Didn't say exactly so, but hinted Brewer will stay at 141.

Evan's NC bio has him at 141# and several media outlets has Henderson pre-season rankings at 141#. In one of Flo's FLRs, they stated that he's going 141# this year. Originally they had him at 149# but based on the FLR, it was confirmed he's going 141# so they changed his weight in the rankings.

I am very interested to see Henderson's results at 141. The dude is a stud, no doubt. I only wonder - IF the cut is big (and all indications are that it is) - how it will effect him. March is a long way and many weigh-ins away.
In all fairness to Henderson, Jaggers cut was monstrous too but Jaggers was able to peak when it mattered most. If Henderson can make the weight and then walk in and wrestle, he could fare well.

I watched a freestyle bout this summer between Henderson and Retherford. Henderson was winning but ran out of gas. Retherford will be a small 149. I don't think he'll win it because of the size issue. Henderson will be a huge 141. I think he's a top contender assuming he can handle the cut.

From someone close to the UNC program: Henderson will be at 41.
Very interesting if Brewer goes 41--it makes sense to me and I hope he does it.

I have been skeptical of the Micah cut to 141, but seeing a photo of him on twitter (with Logan, NaTo, BoJo and a few others) and Micah looks taller than Logan, but about the same weight. He also said that he worked out with his brother Rocky and made the statement that he is definitely the smallest guy in the family. So maybe 141 is not a stretch.

141 sort of seemed open two months ago. Nature; vacuum; yada yada yada...

I would love to see that! - Did he develop a takedown move over the summer?
