You had Myles Martin at 184 so am I right in assuming that you are referring to Mark Martin at 197? If so, he will have graduated."

You are probably right on Mark Martin being gone. I'm losing my mind. ...if I haven't lost it already.

Quote from Hank Kornblut's post:

"Bucks biggest need is 125. Hall, however, is a special talent. Special talents always fit. In theory, BoJo could remain 165 for two more years while Hall goes 174.

Isaiah White (Bob mentioned him recently) is intriguing as a future 157/165 prospect. He's known in the past to have been interested in Ohio State. Grades are supposedly an issue. We'll see how this one plays out. He is very talented."

Isaiah White is DEFINITELY another special talent. But with suspect grade issues, I just think tOSU is steering clear of any of those sort of issues right now. There have been too many busts and Coach Ryan hasn't been putting a lot of stock in a kid that hasn't shown he can be successful in the classroom.

So, they're checking out his eligibility and interest?

tOSU has to go after White because tOSU desperately needs a future 165# wrestler to come in and be the man at that weight.

White has been a long time tOSU fan.

Why can't Bo Jordan be the future at 165?

Quote from Chris Shepherd's post:

"Yes! It's not like we're saying he can't create his own spot, wherever he winds up. But the NEED isn't all that great at any of the 3 (OSU, PSU, ASU). Not to the point where his commitment is going to be a serious game changer and NCAA tourney point swing for any of those teams involved. It's an interesting position."

Good point, Shep.

So if all of the "Big 3" are the same in this regard...does he go to Nebraska?

Using the "All 3 Are The Same" standard, does he use a different, more organic metric?

Should be fun and interesting; is this supposed to happen Wednesday?

Bueller? Bueller? Anyone?

JH: Wednesday is correct.

Not a great answer, but maybe because he looks like the little brother of Chris and Liam Hemsworth now and the cut might become brutal?

[quote="Mark Niemann"]Where does Hall fit in with any of the leading school's current line-up?

My initial thought is "where ever he wants! It's Mark Hall!"

But if Ohio State has

2016-17

174: BoJo
184: MyMar
197: Martin/Moore
285: Snyder

does Ohio State put him at 165?

ASU has the Valencia brothers - who I thought were 174/184.

PSU is loaded in the middle Nolf, Nickal, McCutheon.

I'm just wondering how does he fit in?

No real matter, I guess, as he'll make his decision and the team he chooses will make adjustments.

Oh, well. Whatevs.[/quote

I think he ends up at ASU

174 Valencia
184 Hall
197 Valencia

I agree that it might, but there's no indication that it will. Jordan has always been large for his weight class. Think of him his last three years of high school...he was as big as any 145, 152 or 160 in the nation. Look at his junior and senior year Ironman finals over Martinez. He's the bigger guy. Maybe he's just blessed with low body fat and the ability to cut the 7-10 pounds of water and still wrestle effectively? Maybe he's coach's kid and operates at a different level with regard to dedication and discipline? Maybe he's just a weight cutter?

Anyway, I don't think tOSU necessarily has a real need at 165 for a few years.

I'm not sure about the losing vs. lost part but you may be right about Martin/Moore as I see the probable lineup for tomorrow's match has neither listed. I'm thinking they are kicking around having Mark redshirt (as Hank stated in another post).

I just hung up on my wife.

I told her to swing by the beer dock and grab me a six-pack of any lager or stout. She asked why. When I told her that Mark Hall had just committed to PSU she paused. Too long for my liking. It's like she doesn't even understand me.

I know this - if she walks through that front door without a bag of bottles in her hand, she'll hear about it!

Grumblegrumblegrumble...

Just tell me we'll be ok, guys.

The world didn't end!! Hall's mind been made up and he dragged it out which to me was a waste of any coaches time! to each is own but Let's get Spencer Lee who I believe is looking to commit early without all the hoopla!

I agree. I thought all this drama about the announcement was a little too self-serving for my taste. Wanted to wait until the decision was made before I said anything.

I wish him the best, but my focus is on the guys that want to wrestle for the Bucks.
