Bergman is awesome so it's somewhat bitter-sweet but definitely want Killer to beat Varner and then get another Buckeye...

Varner handles Kilgore and Waters takes care of Tomasello in the cons. Tomasello is built to hit firemans on taller opponents. Would make a nice weapon for him in freestyle when guys want to jack him up.

NBC Sports is messing up the stream again linking from trackwestling- only getting mat 3.

Try this direct link for mat 2.

Wow! Cox knocks off Dake! Personally, I like that one! Now he's just gotta qualify the weight.

It's nice for Kyle to not have to go through the grind of the challenge rounds. Varner looked tired the last two matches. Loved the arm drag, never saw him use that move. Nice to have one more weapon.

Quote from Hank Kornblut's post:

"Confession: I'm devastated by Logan's loss. I'm sure he feels worse. He had the win in sight....and then it went away. Such a hard sport. Molinaro is arguably the most unlikely guy to have won the weight but he did it. Congrats to him on scraping together three amazing wins.

Still feel terrible for Logan.

Felt even worse when Tommy lost to Mocco in 2008."

Hank, I felt the same for Logan. The door was open when Oliver, Kennedy & Metcalf all lost. And he had beaten Pico, Humphrey & Maldinado in the past, it was all falling into place. I thought that TD he failed to secure & the body lock right at the end of the first when time ran out were brutal. Seems like Maldinado is a one trick pony, we'll see if he can even qualify the weight class.

I'm excited that Cox won. Such a talented kid and his style is well suited to the current free rules. Hope the weight gets qualified so he gets to wrestle in Rio.
