This fight proved one of Rex's Axioms--The more situations for which you're prepared, the more likely you are to perform successfully. Miocic is moving backwards as he tags his opponent. Intuitively, it would seem Miocic couldn't land a hard punch in this situation. But after the fight he talks about how he practices that particular punch. He learned how to hit like a mule while stepping back and luring in his opponent. It's a great tactic and how he's the champ.
