TSUN just lost two All-Americans from their lineup this season. Coon redshirting due to injury and Youtsey, who has already graduated, will not use his final year of eligibility at Mich.
Looks like the Austin Assad era has begun.

Wouldn't it be something if this _ichigan kid slid right into the 125lb spot at Ohio State?

Michigan loaded at 125 and will arguably be better with Steve Micic (transfer from NW) if he's eligible to compete this season.

Assad's future at 133 is my guess. And he had a solid redshirt season.

I don't think Youtsey is planning on transferring; he's just graduated and ready to be done.

I can't really fathom a UM alum jumping ship to OSU regardless. The only exception to that would be one that's attending OSU primarily for furthering their education. Could you see a Buckeye wrestler transferring north upon graduation?

His eligibility was exhausted, but didn't Steve Luke switch from Michigan to tOSU for his master degree after his career at Michigan was over? I'm not saying it should happen, but it doesn't seem out of the realm of possibility. Now, clearly I don't care about rivalry and tradition like most do, but if you're a wrestler and you're earning your Masters degree, I don't see the conflict. Now, if this young man is just done with school and then, by proxy, done with college wrestling, then that's ok...but if you still had a passion for the sport and clearly have the talent, maybe you want to be part of a winner?

I feel like I'd be cool with that...but I'm outside the bell curve.

Agreed. I should have said "jumping ship and wanting to compete for the nemesis." I meant this is the greatest rivalry in sports. And that rivalry largely transcends just football.

Didn't Tyler Caldwell transfer from Oklahoma to Oklahoma State?

Didn't Mark Niemann transfer from Dot.Net Spokesmodel to Rudis Rep?
