Do we know for sure Fix is announcing today?
Signing day is Wednesday. Initially, he planned to announce on Flo before the NCAA put up resistance and nixed that idea.

I've seen it multiple places that today is the day he planned to announce. But I'm not sure of time/venue for the announcement.

I would think the longer this goes the better for the Buckeyes.

I was thinking the same thing. If it were TRULY a foregone conclusion he's sticking at home with John Smith wouldn't the announcement have already been made? I mean, from a psychological standpoint, a Buckeyes coup would be a difficult announcement for a HS commit to make IMHO. :) Maybe that's just scarlet colored optimism?

And let's face it - this is the biggest need in the room. I am sure Coach Ryan is willing to invest, and he is absolutely a closer.

You can sign until nov 16th I believe. Nov 9th is the early signing period I believe. I couldn't imagine him coming to Ohio state tho. Kyle Snyder was a huge but if somehow we landed him I believe it would be the biggest recruit in the Tom Ryan era just because he is outside Ohio and has such strong okie state ties. Kyle had no ties so it was a fair playing field. Ohio state is in a big disadvantage here but let's see what happens

Are Buckeye fans thinking Fix is the career 125 they've been looking for? I thought he was a 133-pounder? With Tomessello there for two years and Pletcher in the holding pen, you'd think Fix wouldn't be a priority. Or is he so special that you go after him regardless of how he fits?
...And in my opnion, Logan Stieber and Snyder are Ryan's biggest recruits of his career.

I have my doubts that Pletcher or Nato will ever wrestle at 125 again.

If the Bucks miss out on Fix, or, quite frankly, even if they land him, is Cardello (CVCA) an option in the future? Just looking at some rankings for upperclassmen at either 113 or 120 and he is clearly a quality wrestler who fits the size.
Any thoughts from the cognoscenti on this board (and I am not saying that sarcastically)?

That was my point...You'd have a National Champ, a blue chip underclassman and a Junior World medalist coming in all at 133. It would seem to be an unconventional use of scholarship money.
