Quote from Michael Rodriguez's post:

"Are Buckeye fans thinking Fix is the career 125 they've been looking for? I thought he was a 133-pounder? "

Fix thinks he can be a 125 (right now JRod will be)

According to kaleb Romeros twitter it says him Decatur and Carr are the triple threat and to stay tuned. This could be some good foreshadowing for the buckeyes

Bob,

Any insight on Fix's decision? Curious if at this point he'll defer and wait for the spring signing period. The early period ends Wednesday.

Echoing other posters, I'm skeptical Fix can hold 125 pounds for more than a year or two. He's thick in the lower body. Tomasello, both Stiebers, both Jordans, DiJulius, Snyder and Myles and Mark Martin are among those who moved up in weight over their OSU careers.

It's rare for anyone, wrestler or non-wrestler, to maintain his same weight for four or five years. Kenny Courts did it, and so did Josh Demas. But it's rare.

So maybe OSU is recruiting Fix for 133 with the assumption Pletcher will be on the move to 141 and Hayes to 149.

Is this is how Fix is gonna be, we don't need him! I hate stalling and I hate stallers!

Fix is Tomasello short, and probably isn't growing much more. He has beaten Lee, Gomez, Teasdale, and all of the elite level kids in addition to owning two world medals. I would think that the weight conversation would've already taken place between him and his prospective schools. If it was a question I don't think TR would've pursued him in this fashion. The longer this goes the better for the bucks!

Yeah, Hank. I am fine. Had gone a few days without eating meat. I'm all good now.

Point of note: any chance the Tomasello move to 133 was done in stretegery to notice this 125 pounder to the great state of Ohio???

Drew, here is my exchange with my expert in Oklahoma, for what its worth:

maybe Fix go to OTC next year, re-enter the draft next year??

I can’t find out anything either. nobody saying anything. Odd. Be shocked if he went anywhere but with his best friend from Heritage Hall.

Not likely. The Sooners, Penn State, and Ohio State are longshots. It does make things interesting the longer he waits.

Daton Fix taking it to the limit, tomorrow last day of early signing, could he shock John Smith and go Sooners-- or Penn st or Ohio st?

Fix announcing live on FLO this Wednesday:
http://www.flowrestling.org/article/48357-daton-fix-is-ready-to-announce-college-decision-live-on-flowrestling

According to Flo, the final four schools are:
Okie State, tOSU, Nebraska and PSU.

Maybe Fix would be interested in working out daily with an NCAA Champ as well as a World Team Member? Bucks have some pretty good drill partners to offer.

Out of those 4 OSU and Nebraska have immediate needs at 125. Granted some of the kids below could move up by my guess is Suriano is 125 lifer like Megaludis was

Okie State has freshman Nick Piccininni-I assume Fix is better then.
PSU has freshman Suriano who just beat #4 Schram
Nebraska senior Lambert- Not sure who they have in the wings but probably immediate upgrade
tOSU has freshman Rodriguez and I think we could all agree Fix is better then.

I always meet the "career 125" prediction with a question mark at this point. It's a bit rare, and very difficult to predict. A few examples of Ohio kids predicted to be career 125s: David Taylor, Logan Stieber, Nathan Tomasello.

Who knows what happens with Fix a few years into his career.

I don't know anyone who thought Taylor would be a 125 didn't he wrestle 135/140 his Sr. in HS.

Here are a couple of 125 lifers.

Megaludis -PSU
Gillman -Iowa
Waters -Missouri
Dance -VT
Lambert-Nebraska
Peters-Northern Iowa

If Lee had gone to PSU, I'd consider it possible that he'd never lose. But I think Suriano will be the one guy to compete with him (assuming Nate is not 125).
