Quote from Hank Kornblut's post:

"Pitt is an ACC school and their coach was fired. If he was/is granted an unconditional release, Campbell comes to Columbus with two years of eligibility.

We need to be careful about what we report. Campbell is currently enrolled at Pitt and just won ACC's while competing for the Panthers. Until he is no longer enrolled there, let's call it a rumor...not fact.

Personally, I'd rather have Isaiah White based on raw talent but Campbell is more of a proven commodity at the D1 level. White did just steamroll his way to a D2 NCAA title. He is very good. No bad choices here."

Exactly, that's why I used the words more than likely because as of right now that's all it could be is a rumor.

Addressing the rumors...Campbell has been good against DI level talent. He has two years of eligibility remaining.

White just won a DII national title as a true freshman which shouldn't be overlooked. He was highly coveted coming out of high school and has three years of eligibility remaining.

Is it wrong to want them both?

Not at all! I was thinking the same thing. Romero RS next year and fills in that frame to potentially be at 174 the following year. Bring in White and Campbell to help with the void immediately. And Burcher can wrestle closer to a natural weight and challenge Ryan for the 157 spot. Could prove to be a massive haul for the sake of depth on the roster.

As much as I would like Romero to RS, with NaTo, Bo & Snyder being seniors, it's "All In" next year. Yea, if they get White or Campbell to transfer then RS him, if not it's all men on deck!

Anyway, I was texting with M Rodriguez this morning. I have a 1000% faith in the Bucks staff, but I can't help but pipe dream this. Stay with me.

125- Tomasello. Ok, I know he's huge. BUT, the new UWW 2-day tournaments plus day-of weigh-ins BOTH DAYS makes his 125 world team future a concern. If he leans up and cuts some muscle (I know, not ideal, but he can get by with less, let's be honest), 125 college puts him in a great position for WT future. Plus...

133- Pletcher. He's an immediate national level player. Immediate.

141- Hayes. Back off injury, Hayes locks this weight down and is AA material.

149- Micah. Possible finalist.

157- Combination of Ryan and Butcher. NQ

165- West Virginia transfer rumored, as well as Isiah White (D2 National Champ) rumored. If not, a very talented Kaleb Romero for a season. The top two probaly AA, I have no idea how Romero does, but he is sick!

174- Bo Jordan. He's there with anyone. Could win tonight.

184- Martin. Same.

197- Moore. Will start season as #1. Favorite next year.

285- Snyder.

There isn't a weight outside of 57 that isn't a reasonable AA shot. It might take this to bump the PSU machine.

To quote the above-mentioned MRod, "I might be wrong. I often am".

Brian: That would be a crazy good lineup.

For he record, I love Brian's lineup, but I don't like Tomesello to 125.

Wonder who is going to wrestle 125 next year, given the stuff I've read about how much of a cut it is for Rodriguez?

That's Coach Ryan's job, but asking a senior Nathan Tomesello to cut to 125 as a senior 3X All American seems like a bad call.

I think the lineup will look like this next year:

125 - Either a Koontz or a Mead.

133 - NaTo (RS Pletcher) - National Champ next year

141 - Hayes - Top 5 next year

149 - Micah - Top 3 next year

157 - Burcher/Ryan - NQ, 2-2 at best

165 - Campbell/White - R12, at worst

174 - BoJo - Top 3 next year

184 - Martin - Top 3 next year

197 - Moore - National Champ

285 - Snyder - National Champ

Love the above lineup but I think JRod will be our 125 next year. Hopefully a healthy knee and another year of maturity and experience will help him on the mat and with his weight cut.
I've heard the experiment with White is over, but I think Campbell is better anyway.

Quote from Cory Surles's post:

"Got some great inside info last night from a very very reliable source that Te-shun Campbell is more than likely transferring in next year. That's shocked me!! Another semi shocker is the Buckeyes are still actively recruiting Rocky Jordan with Mattox in the fold plus they still want Carr and Sasso. Kind of a log jam around the same weights and class but I think you take them all if you can get them all."

Cory great call on Te'Shan since he is transferring to the Bucks

125- JRod
133- Nato
141- Pletcher
149- Hayes
157- Micah
165- Campbell
174- Bo
184- Myles
197- Moore
285- Snyder

Even with all of this, can we challenge PSU for a national title with 5 returning NC's and Suriano? Or what if Isaiah White came in at 157? Does that change things?

141- Hayes
149- Micah
157- White
165- Campbell

This allows both Pletcher and Romero to RS. The following year that could create some interesting scenarios too.
