NCWA All-Americans with Ohio ties:

Anthony Decesare, US Air Force Academy Prep School - 1st @ 125 (Padua)
Zach Alvarado, University of South Carolina - 8th @ 141 (Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy)
Isaac Hammonds, University of Akron - 6th @ 149 (Dover)
Jacoby Ward, US Air Force Academy Prep School - 1st @ 165 (Moeller)
Shane Brown, University of Akron - 6th @ 174 (Manchester)
Ahmed Khatib, Grand Valley State University - 5th @ 184 (Revere)
Kyler Slade, Ohio State WC - 2nd @ 197 (Olentangy)
Jesse Slocum, University of Akron - 6th @ 197 (Salem)
Seth Brennock, Ohio State WC - 4th @ 235 (Loveland)

In the team race, University of Akron placed 17th overall and 4th in Division 2 (one individual tournament, two team scores), Ohio State WC took 21st overall and 7th in Division 2, and University of Toledo took 23rd overall and 9th in Division 2.

My biggest regret as a coach is not bringing my team to National Duals, as the NCWA carries team points over to the National tournament based on National Duals finish. Based on who we beat in duals this year, it's safe to say that Akron would have carried over at least 11 points, which would have been good enough for 2nd place in division 2, and only 3 points shy of 1st place. I guess we'll be fundraising to go to National Duals next year.

I know the format of the NCAA team title has been discussed on this and other forums, but since the NCWA factors in the duals and the tournament into the title, I'm curious to hear your thoughts on this.
