Haven't seen anything about Molinaro being out. Where is this coming from?"

tweet from Christian Pyles"

The tweet I saw said he could sit out but I could not tell if that was till the finals or if he wouldn't wrestle at all. I didn't see anything that stated he was out 100%.

My sense of things is that Molinaro may have been awarded first place at the US Open. That's assuming--and I may be wrong--that JO tested positive for a banned substance and that's why he's out. That means Molinaro may have a bye until the finals. I think that's what Pyles meant.

NaTo loses a close match to Gilman 4-2 with a late takedown.
Gilman is on fire! He beat Cruz, Graff, Megaludis, and Nate!
Ramos gets his wish tonight.

If Cox wins...and I suspect he will...he should thank Heflin for making Taylor work very hard.

Nate is close. Credit to Gilman for having a great tournament. Sometimes an NCAA loss gives you an extraordinary amount of motivation (see Kyle Snyder).

I think Cox wins either way. However, I get your point Hank. Heflin has improved tremendously since college.

except Taylor won the first match.

A lot of the guys who wrestled all day--Gilman, Maple, Dake Taylor and Retherford--came out on fire. Logan and Molinaro survived and won. Burroughs, Cox and Ramos lost. Snyder looked fab. Bradley looked exhausted against Gwiz.

If Gadson had any thoughts of beating Snyderman again, they were quickly extinguished! 10-0, 13-2. Way to dominate Champ!!

Yeah. Snyder was Snyder. Just astonishing.

I am officially on the Zain Retherford bandwagon.

Cox was impressive but officials let him be in reverse for that entire period.

Have any of you guys seen a competition mat more slippery than that one?

Congrats to all world team member. I think 2017 Worlds will have some great results for America. I think the freestyle team will win 5 medals! It's amazing that D.T. and Dake might never make a World Team do to an all time great(JB) and an up and coming superstar (Cox ). Although Cox looked like he was seriously hurt. I just hope Dake stops complaining about wrestlers having byes now. He had his opportunity to beat JB at US Open and won the first WTT match. It's time to give JB his much needed respect.

Cox getting hurt seemed to put Taylor in a tough mental situation. Took him out of his game, though I might be completely wrong. Tough to watch.

I was gutted watching Taylor/Cox. Hate to be totally unemotional here, but Cox took a long time when he was originally hurt and then took a long time on each subsequent stoppage. Apparently there is no penalty for that.

There has to be some consequence to doing nothing. Cox is so good and so athletic, when he decides to shut it down and play defense he's near impossible to score on.

Dake and Taylor - two of the best of their generation, cannot make a World Team. Crazy.
