Discussion Topic: Ramos, Mocco and Metcalf...not dickheads.

I don't know any other way to word it: I really enjoy when Iowa wrestlers grow up and stop acting like dickheads.
Mocco and Metcalf are downright enjoyable to hear talk nowadays, coaching, working with youth, etc. Ramos after-match talk to Gilman and his subsequent 12 minute interview with Flo was great stuff.
It can't be as simple as just maturing, can it? Does the alpha just wear off a little when they have kids and a wife?

I thought about this too as I listened to the Ramos interview. The only thing I could think of was time away from Iowa City. Ramos is in NC and Mocco was down in FLA, I do believe. I thought Metcalf was still in Iowa but he has been away from the room for a while.
We'll find out more as Mike Evans is down in NC at Campbell U with Kolat, Kiley, Sentes, and Henderson.
Interesting hypothesis, good sir.

I found myself rooting for Gilman, then, BOOM, Ramos really impressed me, post match. Actually, sort of shocking (and heart warming).

I think every person at the age they were when they heald that stigma has the capacity to be a prick. I think these guys all were just in an environment that condoned and rewarded that kind of behavior. If these kids went else where I think we're talking about a whole new group of people
